Kurzbeschreibung: Construction of new cross-border tunnel between Austria and Italy (lenght of main tunnel: 55 km). Works (exploratory gallery) for the Tunnel started in 2006 and will take at least until 2015. The approach tracks are already under construction.

Freier Text: The works are managed by Brenner Base Tunnel SE which was established to manage the construction of the Tunnel. Financing of the whole project is still insecure and is/will be partly provided by the EU funds.
